What the Key Tasks Look Like

As Cybersecurity Service Delivery Manager at DKV Belgium, you play a key role in securing DKV’s IT environment. You are responsible for the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of cybersecurity controls and services, ensuring they are effectively embedded in daily IT operations and aligned with Group standards.

You act as the key operational bridge between DKV IT and Group Security, working closely with the Information Technology Security Officer (ITSO), who represents cybersecurity governance at Group level.

Your focus is on execution, service delivery, and enabling security-by-design across the organization.

More concretely, your key responsibilities will be:

Cybersecurity Operations & Controls

  • Implement and operate cybersecurity controls across infrastructure, networks, platforms, and applications
  • Ensure controls are properly configured, monitored, and continuously improved
  • Identify control weaknesses and drive remediation actions

Security Service Delivery

  • Oversee cybersecurity services such as:
    • Security monitoring (SOC)
    • Incident response coordination
    • Vulnerability management
    • Identity & Access Management (IAM)
  • Ensure services are effectively integrated into DKV IT processes and deliver strong operational value

ITSO Liaison & Group Alignment

  • Act as the primary operational counterpart to the ITSO
  • Translate Group cybersecurity requirements into practical and implementable solutions
  • Provide structured feedback on feasibility, technical gaps, and local constraints
  • Ensure alignment with Group standards through effective local execution

Security-by-Design

  • Embed security into IT projects, application development, and infrastructure changes
  • Support IT teams in applying secure configurations and ensuring production readiness
  • Promote a strong security-by-design mindset across DKV IT

Incident Management

  • Act as the local lead for cybersecurity incidents
  • Coordinate with SOC and Group incident response teams
  • Ensure effective containment, remediation, and root cause analysis

Compliance Support (Execution-Focused)

  • Support compliance through correct implementation of technical controls
  • Help identify and remediate control gaps impacting compliance
  • Contribute to audits and evidence collection
  • (No ownership of governance frameworks or policies)

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify inefficiencies and control gaps
  • Drive improvements in tools, processes, and automation
  • Continuously strengthen DKV’s overall security posture

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with internal IT teams, Group services, and external providers
  • Ensure cybersecurity services are effectively delivered and integrated
  • Manage issues, escalations, and service performance
  • Clearly communicate risks, challenges, and improvement opportunities

Required Skills and Competences

  • Solid experience in cybersecurity operations, engineering, or service delivery
  • Proven track record in implementing security controls in enterprise environments
  • Broad knowledge of cybersecurity domains: network, endpoint security, IAM, vulnerability management and patching, and security monitoring (SOC/SIEM)
  • Strong understanding of cloud and hybrid environments (Azure/AWS), Infrastructure and platform security (Kubernetes/OpenShift as a plus), Secure software development practices (DevSecOps, CI/CD, application security); 
  • Hands-on experience with common security tools (SIEM, vulnerability management, IAM, ServiceNow)
  • Working knowledge of frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS (focus on implementation)
  • Hands-on, delivery-focused mindset
  • Pragmatic, structured and solution-oriented
  • Strong ability to translate strategy into actionable solutions
  • Strong communicator with fluency in English (knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and team player
  • Experience in a Group or federated setup is a plus
